Pocillopora meandrina, commonly known as cauliflower coral, is a species of coral found in the Indo-Pacific and Pacific Oceans. This coral lives in shallow coral reef environments. Colonies of P. meandrina can be quite solid and dome-shaped or branching with flattened areas resembling ridges or thin, twisted ones. The colonies are covered with wart-like growths. The color ranges from brown to pink, and the polyps with their extended tentacles are usually visible only at night. It is expected that the Solomon Islands will publish new regulations on coral exports. An eventual ban would not only make it difficult to source these beautiful specimens on the market but also cause a significant increase in their prices. Important lot: a beautiful XL specimen of Pocillopora meandrina in which the colors of the rocks on which it was settled are still visible.
