Important circular bowl of white Chinese porcelain, 19th century

Important circular bowl of white Chinese porcelain, 19th century

Descriptio Important circular white porcelain bowl decorated with cobalt blue underglaze. It has slightly open walls, a thickened rim, and a flat, unglazed base. It features sinuous, five-clawed dragons amidst stylized clouds and sacred flames, executed in cobalt blue underglaze. A continuous frieze of spirals with an archaic influence runs along the top. The unglazed base, with marked concentric wheel-thrown marks, testifies to its manufacture using traditional techniques. Height: 16.5 cm; diameter: 26.5 cm. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required.
