Important monumental well with eight columns and vegetal decoration

Descriptio Carved marble. Dimensions: 124 × 124 cm; height: 111 cm; inner diameter: 70 cm. An exceptional monumental square well, supported by eight columns and lavishly decorated with richly sculpted vegetal and architectural motifs, representative of the 19th-century Venetian stonework tradition. An engraved Latin inscription at the base testifies to its historical and ornamental significance. From a private collection in Venice, it stands out for the extraordinary quality of its carving, the nobility of the marble, and the elegant patina acquired over time, which enhances its luminosity and presence. Its design combines architectural monumentality with refined execution, making it a prestigious piece destined to grace gardens, courtyards, or monumental spaces. Examples of this quality, dimensions, and state of preservation are exceptionally rare on the market, especially those that retain their original structure and rich decoration intact. Its carefully considered proportions, combined with the exceptional craftsmanship of the whole, make it an exclusive and highly sought-after piece for collectors of Italian garden architecture and decorative arts. It is preserved in excellent overall condition, complete and fully functional. This lot is in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU.
