Important Portuguese Baroque console table with a double-headed eagle.

Descriptio Carved wood with vegetal and heraldic decoration. Measurements: 80 cm x 140 cm x 54 cm. The front of the console table features lavish carvings of scrolls, acanthus, and geometric elements intertwined around a central shield crowned by a double-headed eagle, emblem of imperial power. The turned legs and metal crossbars lend stability to the structure. The workmanship is evident in the influence of the Spanish-American Baroque tradition, with a decorative language that combines European structural rigor with colonial ornamental exuberance. The polished finish and the precision of the reliefs reveal the craftsmanship typical of the viceregal workshops of the 18th century. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
