Incredible Form - Red Gorgonian

The Ellisella sea fan, also known as the whip coral, is a type of sea fan or soft coral belonging to the family Gorgoniidae. It has a unique and distinctive appearance, with slender, elongated branches radiating from a central base to form a fan-like structure. The branches of the Ellisella coral are very thin and have an elegant shape, with irregular edges that give them a natural look. The Ellisella coral can reach considerable sizes, up to 60 centimeters in height and 80 centimeters in width. This species of coral is found mainly in the tropical waters of the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean, where it lives on the seafloor near coral reefs and cliffs. It feeds on small organisms in the water, such as plankton and other organic particles.
