Incredible size and quality fossil blue amber from Sumatra

This specimen of Blue Amber, originating from the ancient forests of Sumatra in Indonesia, is a jewel of nature dating back to the Neogene period, specifically between the Miocene and Pliocene (about 23 to 2.6 million years ago). Mounted on a refined wooden base, the blue amber exhibits a blue luminescence under ultraviolet light, a unique phenomenon caused by the presence of perylene molecules, which attest to an ancient fossilization process. This specimen is not only a collectible piece, but also a window into the geological and chemical processes that have shaped our planet, making it ideal for collectors and natural history enthusiasts.
