INDIA. Nawanagar. Mint Error -- Defective Planchet Detached Fragment

INDIA. Nawanagar. Mint Error -- Defective Planchet Detached Fragment -- 5 Kori, ND (1888-1892). ABOUT UNCIRCULATED. cf. KM-22. Weight: 3.60 gms. A dramatic error that likely began as a lamination error, which fissured into a large planchet fracture. Extremely impressive, this fragment is certainly amongst the more unique and dramatic of errors we have ever handled. For completeness we note that PCGS has declined to encapsulate this example without rendering an opinion.
