Italian School, 17th Century - Holy Family

Descriptio Oil on copper. Dimensions: 27 × 32 cm; image: 21 × 28 cm. A refined devotional composition dedicated to the Holy Family, featuring the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and the Christ Child, accompanied by secondary figures and angels among clouds in the background. The scene is organized with a balanced and narrative composition, typical of religious painting from the late 17th century. The warm and enveloping palette, combined with the characteristic luminosity of the copper support, provides chromatic depth and allows for a particularly rich treatment of flesh tones and drapery. It retains its original period frame, finely carved and gilded, forming a harmonious whole of considerable decorative and historical interest. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
