Offered is a fascinating antique oil painting on canvas, depicting a dramatic scene of Christ's Passion: Jesus falling under the weight of the Cross during the ascent to Calvary. The work is a meaningful example of devotional sacred art, probably destined for a private chapel or for a Way of the Cross. Iconographic Details: The composition is dense and narrative.
