PIRANESI: VEDUTE & ANTICHITA' di ROMA Type/Technique of Print: LITHOGRAPHY Year & Place of Edition: VIENNA, 1888 Total Dimensions: 64 x 48 cm This is the beautiful and rare engraving by Piranesi, reprinted at the end of the 19th century by the author LEHMANN, in his rare work composed of four large volumes, which contain a vast repertoire of Piranesi's prints. This is the 1st edition completely reprinted in lithography in VIENNA in 1888, using precisely this new printing technique. The condition is fairly good as shown in the photo: there are small signs of aging, especially along the central fold (for double-sheet engravings...); otherwise, this is a rare and valuable engraving from the late 19th century, in excellent condition.
