Welcome to my Top Swiss Chronographs Boutique! Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the most respected and innovative Swiss luxury watchmakers in the world, often referred to as “The Watchmaker of Watchmakers.” It’s known for its craftsmanship, technical inventions, and iconic designs. Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland — a region famed for fine watchmaking. LeCoultre was an inventor and pioneer: he created the Millionomètre in 1844, the first instrument capable of measuring micrometers — a huge step toward precision manufacturing. The company developed into a full manufacture — meaning it makes its movements, cases, and components under one roof — a rarity in watchmaking. In the early 1900s, Swiss maker LeCoultre collaborated with Edmond Jaeger, a Parisian watchmaker who specialised in ultra-thin movements. Their partnership deepened, and in 1937 the brand name officially became Jaeger-LeCoultre — combining French and Swiss precision traditions. Jaeger-LeCoultre has created more than 1,400 calibres and holds hundreds of patents for its mechanical developments. It is renowned for complications — advanced watchmaking functions such as minute repeaters, perpetual calendars, and multi-axis tourbillons. Jaeger-LeCoultre is unique in the horological world for marrying technical innovation, in-house production, and iconic design. Collectors and enthusiasts revere it both for its historical significance and for timepieces that are built to last generations. Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre SA is Swiss luxury watch manufacturer founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833, based in Le Sentier, Switzerland. It has hundreds of inventions, patents, and more than one thousand movements to its name, including the world's smallest movement, one of the world's most complicated wristwatches (Grande Complication), and a timepiece of near-perpetual movement; in short, Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the biggest names in the watchmaking world. The offered Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX2 Chronograph DBS is one of the more technically interesting modern collaborations between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin. It came out during the peak of their partnership in the late 2000s and has become something of a cult collector piece. What makes it special: 1. The “buttonless” chronograph The Amvox2 is famous for its vertical-trigger chronograph system. Instead of traditional pushers: - Press the top of the sapphire crystal to start/stop the chronograph - Press the bottom of the crystal to reset it - A side lock prevents accidental activation This was genuinely innovative at the time and remains unusual even today. The mechanism uses a complex lever and ball-bearing system integrated into the case and movement. 2. Aston Martin integration The design language intentionally echoes Aston Martin dashboards and instrument clusters: - Skeletonized dial - Arc-shaped chronograph displays - Automotive-inspired typography - Lightweight titanium construction The AMVOX line itself was built around the Aston Martin partnership that started in 2004. Limited Edition: 999 pieces for the DBS-branded titanium version. Reddit and collector forums often describe the offered Amvox2 as: - “ahead of its time” - “one of the coolest chronographs” - “wearable engineering”. Movement: - in-house automatic calibre 751E / 751B - 65 hours power-reserve - 41 jewels - vibrations: 28.800A/h - 280 parts - twin barrels - unique vertical-trigger chronograph which is engaged by pressing the case - installed exclusively in Amvox2 chronographs Collectors generally view this as a serious haute horlogerie movement, not just a design exercise. Case: - titanium - polished/fine brushed - 44mm excl. crowns; 48,3mm incl. crown - 14,2mm thick - length: 51mm lug to lug - limited No. 490 from 999 - unique watch No: 2*****2 (for buyer only), best confirmation of authenticity Case back: - titanium with engravings - screwed down with 10 screws Bezel: - titanium, polished - fixed, multilayer Crystal: - anti-reflective sapphire Dial: - black, skeletonized - polished luminous hands and Arabic numerals - red chronograph seconds hand - date window at 05:00 o'clock - two chronograph sub-dials at 03:00 o'clock and 09:00 o'clock - Jaeger LeCoultre logo at 06:00 o'clock Bracelet: - original strap on the Amvox2 DBS is a black perforated calfskin / racing-style leather strap with contrasting stitching and a titanium deployant clasp — very automotive-inspired, matching the Aston Martin theme - length ca. 21cm incl. wristwatch itself - width: 22,5mm by lugs, 19,5mm by clasp Clasp: - double folding "butterfly" - titanium - fine brushed/polished with logo Weight: 94 grams Water-resistant: 5ATM/50meters/165feet. Distinctive design. Extremely high recognition value. Full set. Distributor's stock: the certificate of authenticity isn't stamped. For watches older than two years, “original warranty” means that the warranty card is included. Excellent condition, never worn; the wristwatch comes from luxury watch-shop showcase; that's why the strap is replaced with brand new one: leather straps often suffer from temperature in shop windows due to powerful spotlights. General professional pre-sale service was made in May 2026: the watch is keeping good time and working perfectly. Chic Jaeger LeCoultre watch box (see pics). My personal authenticity and quality warranty: you will get warranty card (as pictured), fully completed, stamped and signed. Insured, registered shipping worldwide with Intl. Express service: it’s not cheap, but fast and reliable, two days in Europe, three days for the rest of this world. Everything you see in my pics is included in the package that you'll receive. All photos were taken personally by me and correspond to the exact wrist watch you are placing your bid on. Among enthusiasts, the Amvox2 has a strong niche reputation because it combines: - real technical innovation - unusual design - relatively low production - an authentic automotive partnership - an in-house JLC movement My personal opinion as a collector and connoisseur: this amazing, unusual chronograph is undoubtedly one of the top 10 wristwatches of all time!
