Welcome to my Top Swiss Chronographs Boutique! Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the most respected and innovative Swiss luxury watchmakers in the world, often referred to as “The Watchmaker of Watchmakers.” It’s known for its craftsmanship, technical inventions, and iconic designs. Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland — a region famed for fine watchmaking. LeCoultre was an inventor and pioneer: he created the Millionomètre in 1844, the first instrument capable of measuring micrometers — a huge step toward precision manufacturing. The company developed into a full manufacture — meaning it makes its movements, cases, and components under one roof — a rarity in watchmaking. In the early 1900s, Swiss maker LeCoultre collaborated with Edmond Jaeger, a Parisian watchmaker who specialised in ultra-thin movements. Their partnership deepened, and in 1937 the brand name officially became Jaeger-LeCoultre — combining French and Swiss precision traditions. Jaeger-LeCoultre has created more than 1,400 calibres and holds hundreds of patents for its mechanical developments. It is renowned for complications — advanced watchmaking functions such as minute repeaters, perpetual calendars, and multi-axis tourbillons. Jaeger-LeCoultre is unique in the horological world for marrying technical innovation, in-house production, and iconic design. Collectors and enthusiasts revere it both for its historical significance and for timepieces that are built to last generations. Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre SA is based in Le Sentier, Switzerland. It has hundreds of inventions, patents, and more than one thousand movements to its name, including the world's smallest movement, one of the world's most complicated wristwatches (Grande Complication), and a timepiece of near-perpetual movement; in short, Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the biggest names in the watchmaking world. The Jaeger‑LeCoultre 145.2.31 is an unusual and rather underappreciated Master Control: a compact, solid-gold chronograph powered by JLC’s sophisticated mecha-quartz calibre 631. This wonderful calibre is a hybrid: - a mechanical wheel-and-lever system operates the chronograph; - quartz regulation handles ordinary timekeeping; - the chronograph therefore has tactile pushers and an instantaneous mechanical-style reset; - uses separate motor systems for timekeeping and the chronograph; Introduced in 1987, the calibre was also related to movements supplied to IWC for watches such as the reference 3741 pilot’s chronograph. It is a technically interesting product of JLC’s serious involvement in high-end quartz—not a generic outsourced quartz module. Movement: - powered by a JLC in-house caliber megaquartz 631: a movement with a quartz base powering a mechanical chronograph - 25 jewels - 233 components Case: - 18 carat solid rose gold - polished - 34 mm excl. crowns; 36,8 mm incl. crown - 8 mm thick only (sic!) - length: 40 mm lug to lug - unique No: 0**1 (for buyer only), best confirmation of authenticity Case back: - 18 carat solid rose gold with beautiful engravings (see pics) Bezel: - 18 carat solid rose gold - polished - fixed Crystal: - anti-reflective sapphire Dial: - silver color, chatoyant - polished golden hands and hour batons - luminous hands and hour markers - date aperture at 04:30 o'clock position - three chronograph sub-dials with blued hands: 12 hours counter at 03:00 o'clock running second at 06:00 o'clock 30 min. totalizer at 09:00 o'clock - minutes and seconds markers around the inner rim - tachymeter scale around the outer rim - black Jaeger-LeCoultre logo at 12:00 o'clock Bracelet: - brand new brown leather, RIO'S alligator grain on cow - chic beige stitches - length ca. 19cm incl. wristwatch itself - width: 18mm by lugs, 16mm by clasp Clasp: - 18 carat solid rose gold - authentic Jaeger LeCoultre - polished with big JL logo - gold info on the flip side Weight: - 63 grams - considering that the strap itself weighs essentially nothing, it is the weight of pure gold Water-resistant: 5ATM/50meters/160feet: OK for light splashes, rain, hand-washing; highly risky for showering or swimming Distinctive design. Very high recognition value. Distributor's stock: the card isn't stamped. For watches older than two years, “original warranty” means that the warranty card is included. Excellent condition, never worn: the wristwatch comes from luxury watch-shop showcase; that's why the strap is replaced with brand new one, alligator grain on cow (leather straps often suffer from temperature in shop windows due to powerful spotlights). General professional pre-sale service was made in July 2026: the watch is keeping good time and working perfectly. Chic wooden Jaeger LeCoultre watch box (see pics). My personal authenticity and quality warranty: you will get warranty card (as pictured), fully completed, stamped and signed. My impeccable seller reputation speaks for itself: look at my feedbacks and sales ratings. Insured, registered Intl. Express shipping: it’s not cheap, and yet fast and reliable, two days in Europe, three days for the rest of this world. Everything you see in my pics is included in the package that you'll receive. All photos were taken personally by me and correspond to the exact wrist watch you are placing your bid on. NO EXTRA COSTS for EU Buyers! Like many experts, I personally believe that Jaeger-LeCoultre makes the finest watches in the world—the most sophisticated, fascinating, and advanced, both technically and stylistically. The MC offered here is a perfect example. An absolutely stunning masterpiece!
