A matching paired assortment of traditional samurai horse-riding stirrups of pigeon-breast form manufactured during the Edo period. Each iron stirrup features silver wire metalwork showcasing blooming peony motifs and scrolling foliage tendrils. The interior footbeds feature a protective colored lacquer coating, while the vertical buckle struts display an authentic incised signature along the front ridges reading Soemon.
