Two parts in one large folio volume (31.4 x 19 cm), pigskin on boards (binding of the period), boards stamped with roulettes and monastic fleurons in blind, spine with raised bands, manuscript title, clasps, [6] leaves, 272 (of 276) pages, [12] leaves– [4] leaves, 1164 pages (mis-numbered 1187), [25] leaves. ):(6, A-I6, K4, L-Z6, Aa-Bb6.– A4, b-z6, aa-zz6, aaa-zzz6, aaaa-zzzz6, Aaaaa6, bbbbb-iiiii6, kkkkk7. Binding worn with a broad, fairly clear stain on the second board, ink stain affecting pages 591 to 604 (591 to 595 very stained) and the second half of the gutter, foxing, some page corners worn. Overall in fair condition. Printed in Gothic and Roman types, in two columns. Portraits of Jacob and Johann Coler and a very large number of figures in the text, all wood-engraved. The figures represent plants, animals, rural scenes, and domestic economy. The Calendarium perpetuum of Johann Coler was first published in 1591. Rare copy.
