Jordi Juan Pujol - Daisy Duck in the World of Arzach...

• Hand Signed by the Artist (front and back) • "Tribute to Moebius" handwritten by the artist on the back • Unique Original Artwork • Certificate of Authenticity Included • Ready to Frame This original watercolour by Spanish artist Jordi Juan Pujol is a refined homage to Jean Giraud, "Moebius" (1938–2012), one of the most influential artists in the history of comics and the creator of Arzach, Blueberry and The Incal. Inspired by a Moebius illustration from the universe of Arzach, the composition places Daisy Duck in the role of the mysterious woman standing on a cliff above the sea. Wearing the iconic pointed hood, her red hair blowing in the wind and a small branch in her hand, Daisy holds a delicate butterfly on her fingertip while gazing towards the horizon. The artist faithfully recreates the essential elements of Moebius's visual language: the fine parallel hatching, the soft violet and golden palette, the stylised clouds and the calm, contemplative atmosphere of his landscapes. At the same time, the introduction of Daisy adds warmth and a subtle note of humour, creating an elegant dialogue between the Disney tradition and the great school of European graphic art. Painted in watercolour and ink on paper, the work stands out for its precise linework and luminous colour. It is hand signed by the artist on the front and on the back, where he has also written the inscription "Tribute to Moebius", a detail that adds to its uniqueness. A piece of particular interest for collectors of Disney art, European comic art and admirers of Moebius's work. ▸ Watercolour and ink on paper ▸ Format: 42 x 30 cm (unframed) Jordi Juan Pujol is a Spanish illustrator known for combining beloved animated characters with iconic moments from art, comics and popular culture.
