Joseph Antonius Elia - Elementorum Theologiae Practicae - 1784

A superb 18th-century pedagogical-theological work, comprising four volumes and totaling over 2,300 pages. Printed in Latin by the renowned Neapolitan, Joseph Antonius Elia. Featuring attractive title pages, this complete set is of particular interest to collectors, as it is the first edition edited by Elia—with all volumes printed in 1784—and is rarely found as a complete set. Bound in contemporary full vellum. There is some expected foxing and browning, though this does not interfere with readability. The bindings show signs of age and wear but remain functional. Each volume includes an *Elenchus* (index/list) at the end. • Tomus Primus: Complectens Tractatus de Conscientia, de Legibus, de Peccatis, & de Fide, Spe, & Caritate (509 pages + XXIV pages) • Tomus Secundus: Complectens Tractatus de quatuor Virtutibus Cardinalibus, & de Ecclesiasticis Censuris (612 pages) • Tomus Tertius: Complectens Tractatus de Justitia, e Jure, de Restitutione, & de Contractibus (537 pages) • Tomus Quartus: Complectens Tractatus de Sacramentis (671 pages) Shipping with solid and appropriate packaging.
