Bundesverband Der Phonographischen Wirtschaft EV (Federal Association of the Phonographic Industry) "Platinum" Album award for Joshua Kadison album Painted Desert Serenade. Released on May 10, 1993, the album was recognized with this award for 500,000 copies sold in Germany. The debut album from Kadison included the hits "Jessie" and "Beautiful in My Eyes". The album itself went to #3 on the German Top Albums chart, # 69 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It also did well in Australia, Canada, the UK, and several other countries across Europe. It was also certified Platinum by the RIAA in the USA.
