Julian Calatrava Weber (XX) - Paracaidistas

Original work by Spanish artist Julián Calatrava Weber, titled Parachutists. The composition shows a dynamic scene of figures descending in parachutes over a background built from newspaper collage and layers of paint superimposed. The contrast between the stylized figurative language—clean contour and a nearly graphic aesthetic—and the complex texture of the background creates a visual tension that is very characteristic of the artist. The figures float in an ambiguous space between playfulness and the conceptual, while the newspaper-based support introduces a critical reading of information, society, and the construction of collective narratives.
