Kienzle Aviator – Pilot Style Watch – Black Dial – 2000s–2010s Quartz – 40 mm – Mineral Crystal – Military-Inspired Design A distinctive Kienzle Aviator wristwatch inspired by classic aviation and military instrument watches, featuring a highly legible black dial, large Arabic numerals and a functional 40 mm case. The design follows the traditional pilot-watch philosophy of maximum readability. The black dial is contrasted by large white Arabic numerals, luminous-style hands and a clear minute track, while the characteristic triangle with two dots at 12 o’clock reinforces its aviation-inspired character. With its military-green textile strap and clean three-hand configuration, the watch has a strong utilitarian aesthetic while remaining versatile and comfortable for everyday wear. Story & Heritage Kienzle is one of the historic names of German watchmaking, with roots dating back to the 19th century. Over its long history, the company became particularly associated with practical, accessible timekeeping and produced a wide variety of clocks and wristwatches. The Aviator draws its visual inspiration from the traditional Flieger or pilot’s watch, where clarity was historically essential. Large numerals, a strong minute track, contrasting hands and the distinctive triangular orientation marker at 12 o’clock were all design elements developed to make time immediately readable. This example translates that functional aviation aesthetic into a contemporary wristwatch. The generous 40 mm case, minimalist black-and-white dial and military-style textile strap give it a purposeful character without unnecessary decorative elements. A versatile Kienzle with classic pilot-watch styling and a strong connection to the functional language of aviation instruments. Internal Reference Number - SOA-27
