The Greek monarchy was abolished in 1973, after which he lived in exile, primarily in London. Queen Anne-Marie, born Princess of Denmark, served as Queen Consort from 1964 until 1973. Despite the abolition of the monarchy, both remained prominent figures in modern Greek royal history. Signed material from this later period is increasingly sought after by collectors of European royalty, Greek history, and royal autographs.
