The Pop Art Sculpture EGG SPLASH SMALL VERSION 25x25 cm – Inked Series is born from the reinterpretation of one of the simplest and most universal elements of daily life: the egg. Kiras takes the shape of the fried egg and transforms it into a three-dimensional composition, playing with proportions, surfaces, color, and movement. The real protagonist of the work is however the splash. Egg white expands in many directions, creating an irregular and dynamic shape that seems to capture a moment of movement and turn it into a sculpture. The everyday gesture of preparing an egg is thus completely transformed. What is normally an element of the kitchen becomes a Pop image, ironic and out of scale. At the center of the egg white emerges the yolk, with its smooth and glossy surface. The contrast between the two parts makes the subject immediately recognizable, but its three-dimensional transformation takes it into a territory completely different from that of simple realistic representation. The shape of the splash also introduces an element of surprise. The numerous extensions of the egg white seem to freeze in time an explosion, turning a everyday image into a gesture almost surreal. The Inked Series brings this research into an even broader chromatic dimension, allowing the same subject to be reinterpreted through different color combinations. Three-dimensionality is fundamental in EGG SPLASH’s language: the work does not simply depict an egg, but transforms it into a true sculptural object that emerges in space and interacts with light. The glossy surfaces of the yolk create reflections, while the different curves and drips of the egg white produce shadows that change depending on the light position. EGG SPLASH – Inked Series is thus a meeting between everyday life, irony, color, Pop Art, and three-dimensional design, capable of turning a very simple subject into a contemporary work with a strongly personal character.
