KISS - Gene Simmons (US) – 1978 Original Pressing –...

A particularly attractive original 1978 US pressing of Gene Simmons, one of the four famous KISS solo albums released simultaneously in September 1978. Issued on Casablanca Records under catalogue number NBLP 7120, the album gave each KISS member the chance to step outside the group's usual format. Gene Simmons' contribution is perhaps the most eclectic of the four, featuring hard rock alongside orchestral and pop elements and guest appearances from musicians including Joe Perry and Bob Seger. This copy remains protected by its original factory shrink-wrap and presents exceptionally well overall. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): The original sleeve remains largely protected by its original factory shrink-wrap and presents extremely well. The lower-left corner features a factory deletion cut, a typical US marking used on surplus retail stock. Aside from this cut corner, the sleeve remains very clean and attractive, with most of the original shrink-wrap still present and protecting the artwork. Because of the cut corner, the sleeve has been conservatively graded VG+. Inner Sleeve: The correct period printed inner sleeve is included, featuring the artwork associated with the four 1978 KISS solo albums. Vinyl (EX): The vinyl retains a beautiful deep gloss and shows only minimal evidence of previous handling or play. There are no significant scratches or distracting marks. Playback is strong throughout. Overall a genuinely strong EX example. ⸻ Details * Original US pressing * Casablanca Records NBLP 7120 * 1978 release * Stereo * Original printed inner sleeve included * Original factory shrink-wrap present * Factory deletion cut (lower-left corner)
