Porsche 550 - The Story In the early 1950s Porsche discovered that modified production cars no longer won races. The 550 was the answer. The original race winner had arrived. Le Mans 1955: the fastest 550 Spyder is number 37, driven by Helmut Polensky and Richard von Frankenberg for the Porsche KG team. They achieved 4th place in the overall standings and 1st in the S1.5 class. Of course the demand for road models followed shortly after. The example of the Porsche Spyder 550 A you see here is in the eloquent color cobalt blue. Minimalistically built and entirely made in aluminum. Due to the low weight, the 4-cylinder could achieve particularly good performance. In this 1:12 scale (!!) K&K has perfectly reproduced this splendid model. The doors can open and the passenger seat can be covered with the aluminum cover plate. NO RESERVE Carefully packaged we ship with track & trace
