This unique piece was handcrafted using original street posters, advertising posters, and found paper materials. By combining different layers, colours, text, and fragments from the urban landscape, the artist has created a dynamic and distinctive Pop Art piece. The technique and visual style are clearly inspired by the décollage and collage art of Mimmo Rotella, in which existing posters from public spaces are torn, layered, and recombined to create a new artwork. The use of authentic street posters gives each piece a unique character. The materials carry their own traces, textures, colours, and imperfections. As a result, the artwork cannot be reproduced, and no identical second version exists. Koen Betjes is one of the most popular Street/Pop Artists at the moment.
