An important guide to the Italian art exhibition held at the Petit Palais in 1935, with an introduction by Raymond Escholier. The issue notably features studies by Vincenzo Golzio on the Duecento and Trecento, Germain Bazin on the Quattrocento, Mario Recchi on the Cinquecento, Waldemar George on the 17th and 18th centuries, and Margherita Sarfatti on the 19th and 20th centuries. Extensive black-and-white illustrations devoted to Italian painting and sculpture, ranging from Paolo Uccello and Andrea del Castagno to Bernini and the masters of the 18th and 19th centuries. An interesting document on one of the major Parisian exhibitions of Italian art during the interwar period, serving as both a visitor’s guide and a historical overview. Cover is worn, with scuffing, soiling, and minor surface losses; corners are rounded. A few marks and creases inside.
