In 1915, he entered into a landmark exclusive collaboration with the premier American fashion magazine Harper's Bazar (now known as Harper's Bazaar after a name change in 1929/1930), a prolific creative partnership that famously spanned over two decades. Between 1915 and 1936, Erté shaped the visual landscape of modern luxury by designing over 240 covers and providing hundreds of interior fashion illustrations for the publication. The original production stamp preserved on the verso of the present lot details its preparation for the June 1925 issue. Received and processed by the editorial offices on 28 April 1925, the piece is recorded under inventory tracking number 43, registering its place in the publication's layout sequence.
