This is an 18th-century wine glass made around 1765, roughly 260 years old, produced in the Spanish Royal Glassworks La Granja de San Ildefonso. Objects from La Granja were made in the then Bohemian style, but are distinguished by their distinctive gilded engraving. The bowl is engraved with a stylized flower. The stem consists of a simple knop above a baluster with an air bubble (tear). An air bubble runs through the stem and through both knots. The foot is wide and turned, with a pontil mark. The glass shows a distinctly bright tint. The glass is in good condition; there are no chips, cracks, very light age-related traces, negligible. Most pieces from La Granja show some wear to the gilding, but in this glass the gilding is still in excellent condition. Please refer to the photos, which are also part of the description.
