Lalique - René Lalique - Carafe - Cactus - Glass

Superb carafe by René Lalique, model “Cactus,” in colorless pressed-molded glass, a design created in 1934 and not continued after 1947. The body, bell-shaped, is of great purity of line, typical of the Art Deco aesthetic. The stopper is the standout detail of the piece: a relief motif of spines highlighted with small black dots, evoking a cactus and giving the whole piece a lot of character. Signed R. Lalique France.
