Bicolour floor lamp in Space Age style – Chrome steel and Brass – Italy, the 1970s. Restored and rewired anew. Splendid floor lamp (standing lamp) of Italian manufacture in full Space Age 70s style. The structure gracefully echoes the strict geometric lines of the period’s modern design, closely recalling famous historic projects such as the model "Micol" designed by Giuliana Gramigna and Sergio Mazza for Quattrifolio. • Shaft and Base: Cylindrical structure with a circular, flared base in solid chromed steel. The chrome has been fully mirror-polished and is in excellent condition. • Two-Tone Design Element: The upper part features a protruding brass disc original to the era, finely polished, topped by a vertical band ("tie") in chrome metal. This two-tone pairing sharply highlights the geometry and was a pillar of luxury design in the 1970s. • Diffuser: Large spherical opaline white glass shade, intact, free of cracks or chips, offering warm, uniform light diffusion. • NEW Electrical System: Entirely rebuilt from scratch to ensure maximum safety for use in modern environments. Socket (standard large E27 base, also ideal for LED bulbs), internal wiring, foot switch and plug are completely new and freshly installed. An eclectic and characterful piece of furniture, ready to complete interiors in Mid-Century Modern or retro style.
