Lamy - 2000 - No reserve price - Fountain pen

Title Option 1: Lot of 3 Lamy 2000 Fountain Pens – 2x Vintage (Pre-1990) & 1x Modern (Post-1990) Description: Up for auction is a fantastic set of three (3) iconic Lamy 2000 fountain pens, crafted from the famous brushed black Makrolon (polycarbonate) with stainless steel accents. Designed by Gerd A. Müller in 1966, the Lamy 2000 is widely considered a masterpiece of modern Bauhaus design and a true cornerstone of writing history. This specific lot offers a highly interesting mix for both collectors and daily users, featuring two authentic vintage pieces and one newer iteration. Lot Details & Chronology: • 2x Vintage Lamy 2000 (Pre-1990): These two pens date back to the pre-reunification era. Underneath the clip, they bear the highly sought-after "W. GERMANY" (West Germany) engraving. The bottom finials feature the classic, subtle "L" logo impressed into the Makrolon, characteristic of the early production years. • 1x Modern Lamy 2000 (Post-1990): The third pen is a more recent model, featuring either the clean "GERMANY" stamp under the clip or a smooth finish, representing the flawless continued engineering of Lamy's flagship model. Specifications: • Material: Brushed black Makrolon and stainless steel. • Filling System: Built-in piston filler (large ink capacity). • Nib: Original 14k gold nibs, platinum-coated. Condition Report: The pens are in beautiful, pre-loved condition. The Makrolon still retains much of its signature matte, brushed texture with only minor signs of use/pocket wear consistent with age. The clips are sturdy, and the piston mechanisms operate smoothly and hold ink perfectly. No deep cracks or personal engravings. Please examine the photos carefully as they form an integral part of the description. An excellent opportunity to acquire a triple-pack of German design royalty in one single auction!
