Large Antique Altar Cross – Solid Brass Corpus Christi...

Groot Antiek Altaarkruis – Massief Messing Corpus Christi – ca. 1930 Impressive and solidly crafted standing altar cross with Corpus Christi, made of brass. The cross features characteristic clover-shaped ends and a decorative INRI band. The heavy base consists of three parts: a brass upper section, a dark middle layer, and a heavy lower piece, presumably marble or another natural stone. The combination gives the whole a monumental appearance. The finely cast corpus of Christ is detailed.
