Ca. AD 280 - 350. A rock crystal intaglio engraved with the bust of a princeps in profile to the right, with thick curling hair and a youthful, clean-shaven face. He wears a paludamentum fastened at the shoulder by a circular fibula. Set in a hallmarked 18K gold ring with a broad oval bezel and tapering hoop.
