Beautiful vintage Cousances cast iron cocotte, a classic example of traditional French cookware. Cousances is a historic French cast iron manufacturer, later acquired by Le Creuset. Its cookware is appreciated for its quality, durability and timeless design. This charming round cocotte features two integrated side handles, a matching enamelled lid with a black Cousances knob, and a cream-coloured enamel interior. Made in France, the underside is clearly marked "Cousances – Made in France" with the size number 20. Diameter: approximately 20 cm. The cocotte is in vintage condition, showing signs of age and previous use. The cream enamel interior has some light discolouration, marks and wear. The exterior retains its attractive orange-red finish, with scratches and wear around the rim and handles. The underside of the lid shows visible enamel chips around the edges and near the central screw, as illustrated in the photographs. Despite these signs of age, this remains a lovely piece of vintage French cookware, with its original character and beautiful colour. Perfect for cooking, serving or adding to a collection of vintage Cousances and Le Creuset cast iron pieces. This is a genuine vintage item, not a new product.
