Charles Schneider, a master in French Art Deco glass. After he, in 1917 together with his brother Ernest, founded the glass factory Schneider, Charles launched two iconic lines: Le Verre Français and Schneider. These collections, produced between 1918 and 1933, showcased his inventive spirit and technical brilliance. The Schneider line, of which this vase is an example, concentrated on blown glass with vivid colors and flowing forms, emphasizing artistic spontaneity and craftsmanship. Techniques included lampworking, overlays and internal colors, creating more spontaneous, expressive pieces. In contrast to the nature themes of Le Verre Français, the Schneider line leaned toward abstract and geometric shapes, often with a more modernist aesthetic.
