Alla auktioner / Samtida Konst / Le Yack - A Rose and Five Minutes - Hand signed
At the florist’s, on a rainy evening. A young woman in a gray suit and a cap holds a single red rose, looking at it as if asking a question. Behind her, the florist is wrapping a bouquet in kraft paper. Outside, behind the wheel of a two-tone sedan, a man in a hat checks his watch. Who is this rose for? For him, who is getting impatient? Or for someone else? It brings to mind In the Mood for Love and its missed appointments by a few minutes. The Yack stops time just before the two characters cross paths. White lilies, red roses, and the blue of night: a delicate tableau of waiting and desire. (The interior visual is an AI visualization provided for illustration.) About the artist: LeYack (born 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern storytelling with painterly heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject a palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
