Alla auktioner / Samtida Konst / Le Yack - The Maids - Hand signed
She kept the cigarette at her lips to keep her hands free. Seated on the red velvet, she fastens the strap of another woman's pump, who stands on the pouf, of whom only the legs and the black skirt will be visible. Who serves whom? The posture says one thing, the lowered gaze and the red lips tell another. The game is ancient, Genet's: the mistress and the maid who exchange their roles as soon as the door is closed. Red velvet piled into a thick, lush surface, damask wallpaper in an olive-green glaze, window light cutting through the scene like a theater stage. The gold rivets on the shoes are applied one by one. (The interior visual is an AI rendering provided for guidance.) Artwork features: Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front and back of the work. Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using high-quality pigment inks for faithful reproduction of details and colors. Edition: Limited to 20 copies, each individually numbered. Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm. Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences. Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition. About the artist: LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing on photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
