Leica Summaron 35mm 1:2,8 (M39 vatting) Prime lens

An iconic and very rare Leitz Summaron 35mm f/2.8 wide-angle lens offered in the highly sought-after M39 screw mount (Leica Thread Mount). This example, serial number 1810680, hails from the peak year 1960 and was produced by Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar, Germany. Optical state: • Glass: In exceptional condition. Absolutely no scratches, no fungus, and no haze. • Both the front and rear elements are completely clear and clean, resulting in optimal optical performance. Mechanical state: • Focusing: Moves smoothly, evenly, and with proper damping across the entire range. The infinity lock engages with a perfect click. • Aperture: The click-stops are nicely sharp and accurate. The diaphragm blades are clean and oil-free. Cosmetic state: • The chrome housing is in beautiful condition with only minimal, normal signs of age and use (see photos for an accurate impression). Included accessories: • Original Leica rear and front caps (lens caps). • Exclusive accompanying Leica lens hood in absolutely like-new condition!
