The Ploum Sofa by Ligne Roset, designed by Ronan Bouroullec and Erwan Bouroullec, is a study in comfort and contemporary form. Its generous, softly sculpted silhouette is formed from layers of high-resilience foam, upholstered in stretch fabric that allows the seat to adapt naturally to the body. The softly domed silhouette gives the sofa its distinctive “ripe fruit” shape - equal parts playful and refined. The seat and back vary subtly in depth and height, encouraging relaxed, sociable lounging. Both sculptural and inviting, the Ploum balances technical innovation with an understated softness - a piece designed as much for lounging as it is for living with. Condition Notes: This piece is in good overall condition, with the velvet remaining fully intact and entirely free of any rips, tears, or fraying. While there are some gentle signs of wear to the seat area consistent with use, the fabric retains its structural integrity and presents well.
