Loïc Tuhal (1962) - Regard Solaire

Loïc Tuhal (born in 1962) is a contemporary French painter whose work is characterised by a physical, expressive and highly colourful approach to painting. Regard solaire is an original oil on canvas depicting a female eye in extreme close-up. The particularly intense blue gaze forms the focal point of the composition and contrasts with the explosion of colours surrounding it. The artist uses a particularly vibrant palette, combining reds, oranges, yellows, blues, turquoise, pinks, whites and blacks.
