Extended Description Authentic specimen of a decorative bowl / ashtray in copper signed by the renowned Italian sculptor and designer Lorenzo Burchiellaro (1933–2017), dating to around 1970. The work testifies to the artist’s mastery in artistic metalworking: the inside of the bowl features strong visual dynamism, thanks to an abstract geometric motif of opposing wedges and triangles. This texture is obtained by alternating shiny copper surfaces with dark, opaque areas, treated by artisanal acid etching and patination. Historical notes and provenance: This specific specimen represents an interesting testimony to the phenomenon of era Corporate Design. On the outer edge there are two fine steel-engraved incisions: "Elettrodomestici Bosch" and "NEW EUROPEAN WOMAN". The object is part of an exclusive lot commissioned by the multinational Bosch to the Milanese atelier of Burchiellaro in the early 1970s as a prestigious corporate gift. The artist’s autograph signature (Lorenzo Burchiellaro) is hand-engraved on the exterior bottom of the piece.
