Porcelain, pink glaze with dark pink inlaid horizontal bands around the soft cylindrical form, a turquoise ring around the base inside and out, running bronze glaze in a band around the rim, in the well and to the foot, impressed LR seal H 8.6cm, D 9.8cm PROVENANCE: Private Collection, West Sussex Bonhams, New Bond Street, Contemporary Ceramics, 24 September 2002, lot 151 LITERATURE: Tony Birks, 'Lucie Rie', Marston House 1994; a comparable bowl is illustrated on the rear cover.
