LUPELA - Gugel Sancha - Table lamp - QUEEN - Steel

LUPELA desk lamp cataloged as model H39 and best known as REINA. Lamp designed by Jose Luis Gugel Sancha for Lupela Spain in 1966. Its futuristic design and its articulated structure give it a unique character. Probably the REINA series is the most iconic and feminine model of LUPELA. It retains the original label. The LUPELA company was created by Luis Perez Lanzas (apocope). Luis had two sons: Fernando Perez de la Oliva, who later registered the LUPELA trademark, and Luis Perez de la Oliva, who founded the well-known company FASE. Fernando bought the rights to manufacture five lamps by designer Jose Luis Gugel Sacha: Reina, Cobra, 225, 226 and Cisne and agreed with his brother Luis Perez de la Oliva that FASE would not manufacture articulated lamps. The rest is history: the brothers did not respect the pact and FASE designed and manufactured desk lamps inspired by LUPELA models. The lamp I bring to auction is the REINA model in gold color. The shade is fitted with a glass diffuser and can rotate in all directions. The lamp is in vintage condition and shows signs of use. Please review the photographs carefully as they form part of the product description. Ships outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties.
