The nameplate bears the inscription “M.P.J. Gauge & Tool Co. Ltd – Birmingham 24” as well as the serial number No. 1-12-69-1C. Fine British manufacture in painted steel and cast iron, typical of workshop, engineering and industrial metrology equipment from the mid-20th century. Set accompanied by several accessories and supports in its wooden case.
