Sacred Icon: Mother of God of Tenderness (Eleousa) Origin and Craftsmanship The artwork was created by a Master Iconographer from Monte Sant'Angelo, who earned an iconography certificate at the historic Abbey of Pulsano. It was painted in strict accordance with the traditional canons handed down by the Pul­sano monks, guardians of the ancient technique of Byzantine painting.
