Macallan A Night On Earth In Scotland - 700ml

This special seasonal release is crafted to celebrate the story of Hogmanay, Scotland's world-famous New Year's Eve festivities, and honors the tradition of "first-footing" (bringing good fortune to the first guest crossing the threshold after midnight). Key Characteristics & Concept: • The Collaboration: The bottle features abstract, multi-layered presentation artwork designed by the acclaimed French-Japanese illustrator Erica Dorn, inspired by historic fire rituals celebrated during global New Year customs. • Cask Maturation: It is matured in a curated selection of American and European oak Sherry-seasoned casks, combined with American ex-Bourbon barrels. • Flavor Profile: This unique cask marriage is specifically designed to deliver a rich, sweet shortbread-like character, mimicking the traditional buttery Scottish delicacy traditionally gifted and shared during Hogmanay. • Tasting Notes: • Nose: Rich aromas of vanilla, melted butter, baked apples, shortbread, and plums. • Palate: Velvety marshmallow notes balanced by festive elements of dried orange, figs, and cinnamon. • Finish: A medium, smooth finish defined by sweet butterscotch and toasted oak. • Specifications: Bottled at 43% ABV with its completely natural amber hue imparted entirely by the wood casks.
