Manfred Linus Kreiner - John F

Kennedy — Presidential Tribune, Inauguration, 1961 DESCRIPTION: Magnificent photograph by Manfred Linus Kreiner in Washington, D.C., on January 20, 1961, during the inauguration of John F. Kennedy as the 35th President of the United States. The image captures Kennedy from the presidential tribune, as he attends the inaugural parade following the ceremony. In a particularly close framing, Kreiner seizes the new president smiling, in a moment of relaxation and spontaneity at the heart of this historic day.
