Splendid and elegant rectangular jewelry box, made entirely of 800 silver of fine Italian craftsmanship dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950-1960). The piece stands out for a refined Neo-Renaissance style. The four sides of the main body are richly repoussé and chased with an elaborate architectural motif of full-arched arcades on columns, inside decorated with a reticulated punched texture recalling the façades of historic Italian palaces. The structure rests firmly on four feet finely carved with a volute. The hinged lid features a masterful bulino engraving with scrolls and acanthus leaf motifs, framed by a double chased border. At the center dominates a large cabochon in red carnelian/granite stone, embellished by a serrated crown work that enhances its luster. Photos are an integral part of the description.
