Exceptional original manuscript document of the Spanish Royal Household. Internal-regime order of the Royal Palace of Madrid (1834). Official palace manuscript issued by the Grand Majordomate of Her Majesty on 31 December 1834 during the Regency of Maria Christina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (reign of Isabella II). The document is signed in the hand by the Grand Steward of the Queen, the Marquis of Valverde ("the Marquis of Valverde"), conveying a direct resolution of Her Majesty the Queen Regent (Maria Christina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, regent during the minority of Isabella II). Unlike cédulas or public laws, direct communications from the Grand Majordomate are internal-regime orders of the Royal House, single-copy manuscript (original dispatch manuscript), which makes them rarer and more special pieces. Regency period of Maria Christina (1833-1840): Dated during Isabella II’s minority and the beginnings of the First Carlist War (1833-1840). In 1834 the Crown was reorganizing the administration of the court and the loyalty of the high palace officials. Key court position: The office of Governor-Conservator of the Royal Palace had under its responsibility the keys, the security, the royal apartments, and the daily management of the Royal Palace of Madrid (Palace of Oriente). It preserves the typographic letterhead printed for the "GRAND MAJORDOMY OF H.M." in the upper left corner, with courtly handwriting. Maria Christina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, mother of Isabella II of Spain, served as regent (governor) from 1833, after the death of her husband Ferdinand VII of Spain, because Isabella II was still a child. Unique piece of great interest for collectors of Spanish monarchy history, crown heritage, archivistics, and high palace administration officials of Madrid in the 19th century. Excellent piece, ideal for collectors, lovers of old paper, and history. Original of its time. No reserve price. Great opportunity.
