Marantz - SD 1015 / 2-Head Single Audio-cassette deck

The Marantz SD1015 is an interesting vintage cassette deck from 1980, from the period when Marantz still made very solid analog Hi-Fi. Hifi Engine Marantz SD1015 – features Feature Specification Year of manufacture 1980 Type Stereo cassette deck, 2-heads Tape system 4-track / 2-channel stereo Tape speed 4.8 cm/s Heads 1 × recording/playback + 1 × erase Tape types Normal, CrO₂ and Metal Dolby Dolby B Motor DC-servo Output 0.62 V line Dimensions approx. 415 × 145 × 245 mm Weight approx. 5.7 kg A strong point is the ability to use Metal tapes. It is also a classic 2-head design with analog VU meters and manual recording level adjustment. Commercial Marantz documentation also mentions metal alloy heads, gold input/output connections, and a timer standby function. Value today My estimate for your unit: if it is technically fully in order, the VU meters function well, the cassette pulls in smoothly and the belts/transport have recently been serviced, I would realistically consider €200–250 resale value. In truly top condition possibly €275+. This unit was fully professionally renovated at the end of last month and fitted with new belts. Also cosmetically this unit is in top condition! No damage or scratches. Quality! Carefully packed and insured for shipping!
