The portrait, dating from the World War I period (circa 1918), is one of the famous institutional shots taken by the renowned portrait photographer Mario Nunes Vais. The sovereign is shown bust-length, adorned with the highest honors and the plaque of the Order of the Most Holy Annunciation. • Large salon/office-format: about 20 x 25 cm (ideal for framing). • Back features: It bears the original catalog number of the archival negative plate (11901), typical of official or ministerial prints of the era destined for public offices and barracks. • Condition: Excellent overall condition as in the photo.
